Sad news reaches us this Monday, August 31, in the world of social media. And indeed, Andree Greig Baduoin, also known as “Andree The Girl,” died last Saturday the 22nd at a palliative care center located in the city of Lafayette, Louisiana, in the United States, at the age of 39.

She had amassed hundreds of thousands of followers across her profiles and was known for s haring her own experience with breast cancer, also leaving behind three children after her death. Some media outlets such as the NY Post reported all of this. The influencer's goal was clear: to raise awareness of the impact of the disease she had on people who fight against it. However, she left a posthumous message on social media to say goodbye to her community and those closest to her.

This was the message the influencer recorded before dying: “Don’t take your health for granted”

Andree had stage IV breast cancer and wanted to address her followers this way in a video lasting about six minutes, revealing her intentions to face the final stretch of her illness in a hospital, since, according to her, “she did not want to die at home.”

“I want this home to be a place full of life. I don’t want them to think about death when they are here, but I am not afraid of death. I will never be able to see my son get married, nor my daughter get married. I will never be able to meet my grandchildren. I will never be able to grow old alongside my husband, whom I love deeply,” she lamented.

Likewise, she thanked for having outlived her prognosis, since, as she reported , in June doctors told her she had only a few short weeks left to live. In closing, she left a phrase that emphasized to her followers that they should enjoy each day as if it were the last: “My greatest wish is that you do not take your health for granted or what you have in front of you. Enjoy the day ahead of you".
