BigXthaPlug is arrested ahead of two major concerts as his weekend takes an unexpected turn
What happened?
BigXthaPlug had a weekend of music and performances ahead of him , with two major shows scheduled within just 24 hours. However, on Friday, August 21 , when he was expected to take the stage at the Country Rising Festival in Winnipeg, Canada , the festival announced that he would not perform.
What was initially described by the festival as a “personal emergency” eventually received a more concrete explanation: Xavier Landum had been arrested that same day by the Allen Police Department and taken to the Collin County Jail in Texas.
Why was BigXthaPlug arrested?
According to records, Landum was arrested on three charges: driving while intoxicated, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
BigXthaPlug regains his freedom
After the uncertainty surrounding his arrest, first over how long he would remain in custody and then over whether he would be able to make his next scheduled appearance, BigXthaPlug was released from jail on bond Saturday morning. Shortly afterward, he confirmed through his social media accounts that he was free .
BigXthaPlug is scheduled to perform this Saturday as the headliner at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines . The concert will take place at the Grandstand, one of the event's main stages, with XOLEX joining him as a special guest.
