Famous comedian moves fans after revealing family tragedy he kept private for months
An unexpected announcement left his followers stunned.
R ussell Howard, known for his work on Mock the Week and Russell Howard’s Good News , has left many of his followers stunned after deciding to share an incredibly difficult moment with them.
The 46-year-old British comedian revealed that he and his wife, Cerys Morgan , had been expecting their second child, a piece of news they had both decided to keep private until an unexpected situation changed everything.
Howard revealed that his son died just hours after being born. The couple had chosen to go through the entire process privately and stay away from the spotlight as they tried to cope with a loss the comedian himself described as “the most devastating moment of our lives.”
During those days, Russell and Cerys found support in the hospital staff, whom the comedian thanked for the compassion, kindness and humanity they showed them.
Felix’s memory will now help other families
How will they make this possible?
After what happened, Russell and Cerys found a way to keep their son’s memory alive by creating The Felix Foundation, an organization that will work to ensure families do not have to face one of the most difficult moments of their lives alone . Its work will cover situations including miscarriage, premature birth, stillbirth and neonatal death, while also involving partnerships with specialist facilities, training programs and other resources designed to support those facing this kind of grief.
And now, the first major step toward bringing this project to life already has a date.
