Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo Cause of Death: Did the influencer actually die from penis enlargement surgery?

Renowned influencer and businessman Igho "Tiny" Ubiribo , known on social media as Denisi or Ego , died after undergoing a cosmetic penis enlargement procedure during a luxury vacation in Thailand with his wife. According to the coroner’s investigation, the procedure allegedly caused a fatal pulmonary embolism.

The 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman received an injection of 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at an unidentified clinic in Thailand in March, according to details revealed during a hearing at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court.

Ubiribo was staying at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen , when, after the procedure, the couple went for a massage. During the session, the businessman began experiencing chest pain and fainted twice.

He was rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital , where he was initially still able to answer doctors’ questions. His wife informed medical staff about the filler injections he had received, but Igho lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be performed .

Doctors determined that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism, caused by a blood clot blocking a blood vessel in the lungs, and he was admitted to intensive care. Medical staff attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes, but he ultimately died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination in the United Kingdom found cellular material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used in the injection. Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that the cause of death was a pulmonary embolism resulting from the cosmetic procedure.

Igho Ubiribo’s luxurious lifestyle

Igho had nearly 185,000 followers on Instagram and was known for showcasing a lavish lifestyle. He owned a home valued at $1.1 million in Los Angeles’ Crenshaw neighborhood, as well as an apartment worth approximately $600,000 in London.

Alongside his wife Danielle, a fashion designer and socialite, he had a lavish wedding ceremony in Zimbabwe in 2022 , with an estimated cost of $473,000 .

Following his death, Ubiribo was buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly valued at more than $745,000 . Among those who attended the funeral were Nigerian music superstar Davido and businessman Celebrity Barman Cubana Chief Priest.

Hyaluronic acid fillers for penis enlargement can cost up to $9,000 and typically last between six and nine months. British urology specialists have warned about the potential risks and serious complications associated with these types of procedures.

Igho Ubiribo was 43 years old.
