Julián Álvarez's Madrid refuge: the details of the house where he lives with his family
While his career at Atlético de Madrid keeps him in the spotlight, Julián Álvarez tries to keep much of his family life away from the cameras.
Far from the demands of soccer, stadiums, training sessions, and constant exposure, the Argentine forward finds calm alongside his wife and son in a bright and warm home.
Julián Álvarez and Emilia Ferrero built a family life in Madrid away from the constant exposure that accompanies the Atlético forward. Some images shared during a conversation between the footballer and Agustín Creevy made it possible to see, even if only partially, different corners of the home.
A house designed for family life
The property follows a contemporary and minimalist aesthetic, with spacious rooms, abundant natural light, and a constant connection between the interior spaces and the outdoors. The house features a predominance of neutral colors, simple lines, and integrated areas.
It doesn’t bet on luxury and excess, but rather on the care of each space and on design that makes the most of every setting. What stands out is how the spaces are distributed, and that is noticeable from the moment you enter.
The entrance leads to a double-height foyer that immediately reinforces the sense of spaciousness. The natural light and visual connection with other areas of the home make the space feel open and fluid. A bonsai adds a distinctive detail and serves as a focal point within the setting. The result maintains the understated aesthetic that predominates throughout the rest of the home.
Another of the most prominent areas is the kitchen . The space features high-capacity cabinetry, a central island, and equipment that meets the needs of a high-performance athlete.
The integration of the kitchen with the social areas also encourages a closer dynamic: while a meal is being prepared, the rest of the family can remain in the same environment. The layout thus seems to respond to a home designed for sharing and not only for moving between independent spaces.
Training and well-being, indoors
Well-being also has a place within Julián Álvarez 's home. The house has an area dedicated to physical activity and training, although it differs from the traditional image of a home gym.
Natural light and open spaces predominate in an environment designed so that physical activity forms part of the routine without altering the overall aesthetic of the home.
The space reflects an important part of the daily life of Julián and Emilia : personal care, consistency, and discipline, which are part of their habits, even away from the demands of professional soccer. Everything is arranged so that exercise is naturally incorporated into the family's daily life.
A private garden to escape the noise
The exterior serves as a natural extension of the home . The property features a garden surrounded by greenery, with spaces to relax and a swimming pool.
The large windows strengthen the connection between the garden and the interior spaces, making the outdoors part of the house’s everyday life. The layout allows for a sense of spaciousness without abandoning the search for privacy. The pool completes an area designed both for relaxation and for enjoying the outdoors.
Privacy, moreover, carries particular weight for the family. Before settling into their current home, Julián and Emilia lived in Boadilla del Monte, a period during which their exposure outside the field drew special attention. For that reason, the location of their current home is being kept private.
Despite the care taken to preserve their privacy, some details offer a glimpse into the place Julián Álvarez and his family chose for their everyday life. A bright, functional home open to the outdoors that, far from the stadiums and the spotlight, seems to serve a function as important as any refuge: to slow down and return to what is essential.
