Kim Kardashian awarded $1.15 in damages after the theft of jewelry worth 10 million dollars in 2016

The end of one of the most painful chapters Kim Kardashian has lived through . The celebrity suffered a violent robbery ten years ago in the French city of Paris and the trial has concluded with a striking compensation.

Kim was in France when she was bound by two thieves, who broke into her room dressed as police officers, using zip ties and adhesive tape.

Then, the thieves, who were part of a much larger network, took from Kim a series of jewels valued at 10 million dollars, including a four-million-dollar engagement ring given by rapper Kanye West.

The thieves , eight people of whom six were between 60 and 70 years old, were identified and brought to trial, but some of the stolen jewelry was not recovered by Kardashian. They are accused of crimes such as armed robbery, kidnapping, membership in a criminal gang, and other charges.

What is certain is that Kim Kardashian has wanted to radically forget the incident, and ten years later the compensation she is going to receive after everything that happened is known, which she describes as “the most terrifying experience of my life ”. The amount she is going to receive is only $1.15, an amount requested by Kardashian herself.

We thank the Court and everyone who supported us throughout this process , and we now hope to move forward and continue with our recovery,” the celebrity said in the statement, while also expressing gratitude at all times to the French authorities.
