Kevin Federline is facing another financial challenge, with City National Bank claiming he owes $117,704.77 across three separate credit facilities.

The lawsuit comes nearly two years after Britney Spears made her final child-support payment for their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

According to court documents reported by Page Six and People, the outstanding balance includes a credit card, a personal line of credit and an overdraft facility. The bank is seeking repayment of the alleged debt, alongside additional interest.

The complaint states that Federline entered into the banking agreements in late November 2024, around the time Spears ’ financial support came to an end.

The repayment deadlines have since passed, with the overdraft facility due in April 2025, the personal credit line in June 2025 and the credit-card balance in August 2026.

The interest rates outlined in the claim are particularly significant. City National Bank is seeking 20.5 per cent interest on the credit card, 7.5 per cent on the personal line of credit and 18 per cent on the overdraft facility.

Support payments ended after youngest son graduated

Spears and Federline share two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The former couple began dating in 2004 and married in California that September.

However, their relationship eventually broke down, with Spears filing for divorce in November 2006. Their separation was finalized in July 2007.

Following their split, Federline initially received $40,000 a month in child support while raising the boys in Hawaii. The amount was subsequently reduced to $20,000 after Sean Preston turned 18.

Payments continued until Jayden graduated from high school in November 2024, bringing the arrangement to an end.

Federline previously addressed the financial responsibilities of raising his children in his memoir, You Thought You Knew.

“People hear figures like that and think you’re financially set. But the reality is far from that,” Federline wrote.

“Raising two young boys in Los Angeles, while maintaining the security and stability they needed, came with a price tag that would make anyone’s head spin.”

He also claimed those expenses could easily exceed $40,000 monthly, leaving little money remaining once the bills were covered.

The latest lawsuit follows another financial dispute involving Bank of America. In March 2026, the lender reportedly sued Federline over an alleged unpaid credit-card balance exceeding $12,000.

The account was reportedly opened in December 2024, with the last payment recorded in May 2025. Subsequent reporting indicated that the case was dismissed after the outstanding balance was paid.

Federline has since established a family life with Victoria Prince , whom he married in 2013. However, the latest City National Bank complaint has once again drawn attention to his finances.
