Ring free in Venice: Georgina Rodriguez swaps $3 million rock for massive Chopard diamonds
The influencer stepped out in Gucci and statement diamonds just weeks after her intimate wedding to Cristiano Ronaldo

Georgina Rodriguez arrived in Venice without the enormous engagement ring that has become one of the most recognizable symbols of her relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo .
Instead, she used the red carpet to make an entirely different jewelry statement. Rodriguez , 32, attended the screening of Mr. Nelson, Did You Kill People? at the Venice Film Festival in a sharply tailored navy Gucci look, pairing a plunging blazer with a fitted skirt and towering black heels.
What drew almost as much attention as the outfit, however, was what was missing. The estimated $3 million engagement ring Ronaldo gave her in 2025 was nowhere to be seen.
Rodriguez instead wore an array of diamond pieces across her hands, neck and ears while keeping on the simple gold wedding band from her recent marriage. The result was hardly understated.
One signature jewel for entire diamond display
Rodriguez posed with her hands deliberately visible, highlighting crescent-shaped diamond rings, statement earrings and a dramatic choker as she smiled for photographers.
Chopard were reportedly the jewelry house responsible for the Venice pieces. Rodriguez wore custom Gucci tailoring with sleek black pumps featuring the label’s signature horsebit detail.
Her decision to leave the giant engagement stone off the red carpet was particularly noticeable because of how prominently the ring featured when she and Ronaldo announced their engagement in August 2025.
The couple has since taken another major step, marrying in Portugal in an intimate ceremony at home with their children present. Rodriguez has spoken openly about why they chose something so private.
“We’ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives,” she told Vogue.
Her wedding vision changed completely over time Rodriguez admitted that the ceremony she ultimately wanted looked nothing like the extravagant wedding she imagined when she was younger.
“When I was a little girl I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds,” she said. “And now I’m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home.”
She explained that the emotional significance of the setting mattered more than spectacle: “In 30 years’ time I want the children to think, something wonderful happened at this table, the wedding vows of our parents.”
Even that low-key ceremony still included serious jewelry. Rodriguez was reported to have worn Chopard’s Garden of Kalahari necklace, featuring a D-flawless 50-carat brilliant-cut diamond, along with matching pieces.
That made her Venice appearance feel less like abandoning a signature jewel and more like replacing it with an entirely new look. The $3 million engagement ring may have stayed away from the cameras, but Rodriguez still made sure diamonds remained the centerpiece.
