The criminal case involving Kim Zolciak 's teenage son has taken another turn, with prosecutors seeking court approval to conduct forensic interviews involving unidentified minors.

Serious allegations surrounding Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. have taken another turn, with prosecutors seeking forensic interviews involving unidentified minors as the 15-year-old faces felony sex-crime charges.

According to the court docket, prosecutors filed an emergency motion asking a judge to authorize forensic interviews of “minor children.” The filing does not identify the children or explain what they may know.

The request comes weeks after Kroy Jr. was arrested in Alpharetta, Georgia, on charges including aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault, but the allegations have not been proven in court.

Zolciak has strongly denied the allegations against her son. In a statement released after his arrest, she described them as “reckless and deeply troubling” and said Kroy Jr. categorically denied the accusations.

Zolciak also said her son voluntarily took a polygraph examination and passed it, while an examination found no DNA belonging to him. Those claims have not been independently established through the criminal case.

Forensic interviews are structured conversations conducted by trained professionals, particularly when children may have information relevant to an investigation.

The current filing provides few public details about the request, and at a recent hearing, prosecutors also alleged that Kroy Jr. was already on probation in a separate case.

They further claimed investigators found sexually explicit videos involving another minor on his phone. A judge has since set Kroy Jr. 's bond at $200,000.

The latest motion has also drawn attention to earlier court records relating to the divorce proceedings between his parents, Zolciak and Kroy Biermann.

In February 2025, his mother sought an emergency hearing involving information connected to a phone belonging to their eldest child, but a large amount of the earlier filing was redacted.

There is currently no confirmation that it is connected to the criminal investigation and there is also no public confirmation that either parent knew about the allegations now raised by prosecutors.

The court will determine whether prosecutors can proceed with the requested forensic interviews. Their motion could provide more information later, but the public docket currently leaves key details about the children undisclosed.

The couple had married in 2011 and later welcomed four children together, and their divorce proceedings remain ongoing.
