This Friday, November 6, Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, 82, was detained by the FBI in Florida, United States. He was arrested for his alleged collection of child pornography . All of this was reported by the media outlets Daily Mail and TMZ, which revealed the operation in detail.

The aforementioned newspapers report that several federal agents entered the Maravida Senior Living nursing home (in the city of Lakeland), where Thomas Markle was living, and there he was arrested . This comes after police in the Philippines found large amounts of child sexual abuse material in the home of Meghan's father, located in Cebu (Philippines).
The arrest comes just one day after Philippine authorities warned that they are not ruling out also investigating his son, Thomas Markle Jr., 60, whom they consider “of interest” in the case opened against his father.
So far, the U.S. authorities have not made public the details of the operation nor have the charges he could face officially emerged . For his part, Thomas Markle has flatly denied the accusations and has described as “false” the reports about his alleged possession of child pornography.
The controversy also affected Meghan Markle, who said she was “distressed” by what happened and expressed her concern about it, stating her desire for “ justice ” to be done.
Lastly, Jonvic Remulla, Secretary of the Interior and Local Government of the Philippines , explained that 7,500 photographs and a video involving minors of different backgrounds and aged between 10 and 11 were found, something he described as “ disturbing ”. The authorities are still analyzing the devices to find out where the files came from and determine possible responsibilities in this regard.
