Tom Cruise admits that Taylor Swift knows more about football than he does: “She was teaching me a lesson”
The pair watched the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Denver Broncos in Week 1.

Tom Cruise has revealed that Taylor Swift was the one giving him a football education during their viral conversation at the Kansas City Chiefs ' season opener at Arrowhead Stadium . Fans were starstruck to see one of the biggest music artists in the world and one of Hollywood ’s juggernauts sharing the booth together as the Chiefs took on the Denver Broncos .
The NFL broadcast captured the pair talking and cheering for Travis Kelce during Monday Night Football game, prompting fans to speculate about what the pair were discussing in the ensuite boxes. Cruise explained that Swift had been telling him how dramatically her football knowledge has improved since getting together with Kelce , including how much she learned from him. And Cruise later went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, September 17 and told his host very humbly that the billionaire musical icon, “was schooling me on football.” He said Swift had peppered her husband with football questions when they first met and told him how patient the three-time Super Bowl -winning tight end had been while answering them. Cruise has also addressed speculation surrounding his upcoming black comedy Digger , after fans began theorizing that the movie was secretly a musical, with disappointing news for those ideas. “No, but I think it's a very good idea,” Cruise asked, when quizzed on the format of the film. “I think we should do Digger: The Musical.” Cruise then jokingly danced and sang as Digger Rockwell , the wealthy oil tycoon he plays in the movie and confirmed that the role involved a fat suit, prosthetic bum, wig and other facial prosthetics. Digger , which also stars John Goodman , Riz Ahmed and Sandra Huller , is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 2.
Fans prepare to spot try to spot Swift at Chiefs Week 2 clash
While Swift 's appearance at the Arrowhead drew plenty of attention, Kenneth Walker III delivered one of the night's biggest performances, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns in his Chiefs debut. Walker carried 23 times and also caught three passes for 18 yards, helping his new team defeat Denver 31-10 while taking pressure off Patrick Mahomes in his return from a repaired knee injury. Mahomes threw two touchdown passes and added a rushing score, while Kelce made history by moving past Jason Witten into second place on the all-time receiving-yards list for tight ends. Kelce needed 45 yards to pass Witten 's 13,046 career yards and reached the mark with a spectacular 59-yard gain after catching a short pass, breaking a tackle and racing downfield. And Swift could once again become a major part of the attention surrounding the Chiefs when Kansas City return to home turf to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 20 as her devoted fans aim to spot her once again.
