Wladimir Klitschko is asking authorities to investigate what he believes happened to some of Hayden Panettiere’s belongings after the actress died.

The former heavyweight champion and Panettiere’s ex-fiancé claims a non-family member previously connected to the actress may have taken some of her property, including jewelry, and pawned it.

According to court documents reported by TMZ, Klitschko says a pawn shop refused to provide information about the items unless contacted by law enforcement. He’s concerned the belongings could be sold to third parties before they’re recovered.

Klitschko has asked a Los Angeles court to give him authority to request a law enforcement investigation into the missing property. His request comes alongside a separate effort to become temporary guardian of the estate of his and Panettiere’s 11-year-old daughter, Kaya .

Klitschko seeks to protect Kaya’s inheritance

Klitschko says Kaya , who lives with him in Ukraine, is Panettiere’s sole heir and is entitled to her mother’s assets. He argues that immediate action is necessary because property could be lost, damaged or otherwise disposed of before a permanent representative is appointed.

A hearing on his guardianship request is scheduled for Oct. 8.

In his court filing, Klitschko also claims federal agents entered Panettiere’s Los Angeles home and removed property as part of an investigation. He says Panettiere and he had previously hired security after concerns that someone had gained unauthorized access to the residence.

“Prior to her death, Hayden and [Klitschko] had hired a security service to protect Hayden’s home and its contents, arising from a documented concern that an individual had gained unauthorized access to Hayden’s property,” reads the court document.

Following the actress’ death, locks at the home were reportedly changed, while storage units containing designer clothing and accessories she had worn for public appearances were relocated as a precaution.

Klitschko alleges that other personal belongings, including jewelry, have since disappeared or remain unaccounted for.

The concerns over Panettiere’s possessions come as her parents have also disagreed about jewelry she was wearing when she died. According to a coroner’s report, the “Heroes” actress had stud earrings that were removed during her autopsy and placed in a locker for safekeeping.

Her parents reportedly requested that the earrings be sent to different addresses, but officials said they wouldn’t release them until the disagreement was resolved.

Panettiere died Aug. 16 at age 36 while staying at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office determined that her death was accidental and resulted from the toxic effects of several substances, including fentanyl.

Klitschko and Panettiere began dating in 2009 and became engaged in 2013. They share Kaya , who has lived primarily with her father for much of her life.

Panettiere’s family has reportedly supported Klitschko’s attempt to protect their daughter’s inheritance, with sources close to the family describing him as a devoted father.
