Donald Trump has become one of the most controversial presidents in United States history . The tycoon is in the midst of his second term at the helm of the North American superpower, which is being marked by various controversies in matters of immigration, tariffs, and international issues.

Many public figures have spoken out about what they think of Trump’s administration, but few at the level of actor George Clooney. The artist has at times been very forceful with the magnate and his decisions , but on few occasions as belligerent as in an interview that took place in 2022, on CNN+ with journalist Chris Wallace.

In this interview, the actor recounted one of the practices Trump used to carry out when he went out to bars at the beginning of the 21st century: “He would ask me which waitresses were single,” the actor said, while explaining that he had his phone number and that he always thought Trump “should never become president.”

George Clooney denounced that he doesn't have a star on the Walk of Fame and Trump does: “To hell with him!”

In other interviews, Clooney has also taken aim at the film industry over honors that the magnate has and not the actor, and which are usually reserved for the best in cinema: “I just look at it and laugh when I see him say ‘Hollywood elite.’ Hollywood elites? I don’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Donald Trump has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Screw him! ,” he said in statements to The Daily Beast.

The actor , known for films such as ‘Michael Clayton’, ‘The Descendants’ or ‘Gravity’ and for being the face of brands like Nescafé Dolce Gusto, has openly declared himself a supporter of the Democratic cause and against the Trump administration.
