Meghan Markle's return to acting with Netflix is canceled just 24 hours after being made official

After nine years, Meghan Markle was set to resume her acting career . The wife of England’s Prince Harry was reportedly going to take part in the third season of Netflix’s ‘The Gentlemen’ , under Guy Ritchie. However, just 24 hours after it became official, the outlet Fresh Hell announced that the decision to cast the actress had been canceled.

Apparently, the intense criticism received from the United Kingdom once Markle's involvement became known, put Guy Ritchie in a difficult position, and he chose to remove the actress from the project and abruptly leave her out of the Netflix series, whose filming had begun last August 21.

According to rumors, Markle had secured a meeting to join ‘The Gentlemen’ thanks to “mutual friends” and with the desire to resume her career , which she had put on hold after joining the British Royal Family. In 2020, following Prince Harry’s resignation, Markle has had many doors closed to her in the industry.

Harry and Meghan's return to England

On the other hand, World of Reel points out that this entire incident would be nothing more than a stratagem in line with the intentions of the Dukes of Sussex to return to England in the short term . Apparently, the actress would like to stand in front of the cameras again, and to do so she would seek to settle back in her country.

Be that as it may, the truth is that Prince Harry still retains his position in the line of succession to the throne , which his brother William will occupy when King Charles III passes away. The relationship between the brothers, in any case, is nonexistent, and the rumors of his return have once again reopened the controversies surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their departure from active life within the British Royal Family.
