Costco Promo Codes August 2026: Every discount you can get for the next weeks

Costco shoppers looking for a discount in August 2026 have several offers to consider, although the retailer's promotions can change quickly.

While third-party coupon websites list numerous Costco codes, the most reliable savings tend to come from Costco's own membership promotions and limited-time sales.

As of August 20, several Costco offers are worth knowing about. Groupon's current Costco coupon page lists 14 offers, including a promotion giving new members a Digital Costco Shop Card worth up to $40.

CouponFollow is also listing the same new-member promotion, along with other advertised discounts and product-specific deals.

One important point for shoppers: not every offer described as a Costco "promo code" is a universal discount code that can be applied to any Costco.com order. Some are membership incentives, while others apply only to selected products or SameDay delivery purchases.

The Costco discounts and codes available in August

For existing members, a more immediately useful promotion is available through Costco's SameDay service. Costco currently has a $10 instant credit on qualifying purchases of at least $35 when shoppers use the code SUMMERSAMEDAY26.

The offer runs from July 26 through August 23, 2026, and applies to qualifying orders placed through SameDay.Costco.com. A Costco membership and SameDay account are required, and the promotion is limited to one use per membership number.

Costco's SameDay platform is also showing a broader Member Only Savings event running from July 27 through August 23, with more than 100 discounted items listed.

Meanwhile, CouponFollow currently lists additional Costco promotions, including an advertised $10 discount on orders of $35 or more through SameDay, as well as product-specific savings such as discounts on selected Samsung appliances, LG refrigerators and Michelin tires.

However, shoppers should distinguish between active promotions and expired codes. Coupon sites retain older offers in their databases, including previous discounts of $40, $50 or more. Those should not be assumed to work simply because they remain visible on a coupon page.

How to get the most from Costco promotions

The best strategy is to check Costco's official offers first and then compare them with third-party coupon listings. Groupon says its Costco page currently features verified offers, while CouponFollow identifies which promotions it considers active and also displays expired deals separately.

It is also worth checking the terms before entering a code. Costco promotions can be limited by membership status, minimum spending requirements, specific products, delivery method or geographic availability.

For example, the SUMMERSAMEDAY26 promotion is not a general Costco.com discount. It is specifically for SameDay.Costco.com, requires an active membership and has a $35 merchandise minimum.

New members may have the greatest opportunity to save because the membership incentive effectively puts part of the annual fee back into their Costco account through a Digital Shop Card.

Existing members, meanwhile, should concentrate on Costco's rotating member-only savings and targeted promotions rather than expecting a permanent sitewide promo code.

Because Costco changes its promotions regularly, a code that works today may disappear within days.

The safest approach for August shoppers is therefore to verify the offer at checkout before committing to a purchase, particularly when a third-party coupon site is advertising a discount that is not shown on Costco's own website.
