Outcry over the photo of Donald Trump in a cheap suit and, probably, made in China

Society is thinking about the tariff policy that the president is pursuing

"Public figures" usually always wear the best brands . Many times this is even the case when they do not want to, since for reasons of protocol this is mandatory. However, it is surprising when one of these public figures wears an outfit that is not tailor-made by a major brand or that is even low-cost.

This is accentuated when it is Donald Trump , the President of the United States and one of the most influential people in the world, who has been identified wearing a suit from a brand that could be considered ‘low cost’.

This photo taken of the President suggests a suit from the Traveler collection , according to CNN. These separate suit pieces from Jos A. Bank are selling for $279, in the size and color worn by Donald Trump.

It should be noted that neither Trump nor his family are going through financial difficulties since, for example, their family company has seen its cryptocurrency investments generate profits of more than 1 billion, according to financial reports.

Some people think that this move is a strategy to bring the President of the United States closer to the people, a strategy seen before with other presidents such as Al Gore's sweaters, John Kerry's camouflage hunting jacket, or even George H. W. Bush's cowboy boots.

Donald Trump's suit from Jos. A. Bank is imported

Not only that, but the Jos. A. Bank brand is characterized by importing a large part of its products from countries such as China or Bangladesh, although it has not been confirmed that this clothing is among the imported items and it may have been made on American soil.

This clashes radically with Donald Trump's policy of imposing steep tariffs on foreign products to promote domestic goods at the expense of imports.
