Powerball Winning Numbers: Results for Monday, August 31 drawing for the $131 million jackpot

Powerball players will have another chance to win big on Monday, August 31, with an estimated $131 million jackpot available in the latest drawing.

The winning numbers haven't yet been drawn . Monday's Powerball drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.

A winner choosing the cash option instead of the full annuity would receive an estimated $56.8 million before applicable federal and jurisdictional taxes.

What are the Powerball winning numbers for August 31?

The official winning numbers for Monday, August 31 will be confirmed after the 10:59 p.m. ET drawing.

Players need to match five white balls selected from numbers 1 through 69 and one red Powerball from 1 through 26 to win the jackpot.

The latest confirmed numbers came from the Saturday, August 29 drawing.

Those winning numbers were 18, 56, 62, 65 and 67, with Powerball 18. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

Nobody matched all five white balls and the red Powerball, allowing the jackpot to increase from an estimated $119 million to $131 million.

There were also no Match 5 plus Power Play $2 million winners, although tickets sold in California and Georgia each matched all five white balls to win the $1 million prize.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

Monday's drawing begins at 10:59 p.m. ET , which is 9:59 p.m. CT, 8:59 p.m. MT and 7:59 p.m. PT.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Tickets normally cost $2 per play, although Idaho and Montana bundle Power Play with Powerball for a minimum $3 purchase. Sales cutoff times vary depending on the jurisdiction and can be one or two hours before the drawing.

The jackpot winner can choose between the advertised $131 million annuity, paid through 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or the $56.8 million lump sum cash option.

Monday's official winning numbers will only be known once the August 31 drawing has taken place.
