The Powerball jackpot is back above the $250 million mark as players prepare for the Monday, September 14, 2026, drawing. The estimated top prize is $251 million, while the advertised cash option is $106.6 million before taxes.

Monday's winning numbers have not yet been drawn. The Powerball drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. ET on Monday night, meaning the numbers cannot be confirmed earlier in the day.

Once the drawing takes place, players will be able to check the five white-ball numbers, the red Powerball and any applicable Power Play results through the official Powerball results service.

The jackpot reached $251 million after nobody matched all five white balls plus the Powerball during Saturday's September 12 drawing. The numbers drawn Saturday were 14, 16, 23, 58 and 69, with 3 as the Powerball and a 2X Power Play multiplier.

No ticket won the jackpot, while there were also no Match 5 winners for the standard $1 million second-tier prize.

That rollover increased the prize for Monday's drawing from the $232 million advertised for Saturday night to the current $251 million estimate. The corresponding cash value also moved from $100.2 million to $106.6 million.

What to know before the September 14 Powerball results

Powerball costs $2 per play, with players selecting five numbers from 1 through 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 through 26.

Players can choose their own numbers or use a terminal-generated Quick Pick. Power Play is an optional $1 addition that can increase most non-jackpot prizes.

The jackpot itself is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball . There are nine ways to win a Powerball prize, so a ticket does not have to match every number to produce a payout.

The standard Match 5 prize is $1 million, while matching four white balls and the Powerball normally pays $50,000. Power Play can increase eligible non-jackpot prizes, with the Match 5 plus Power Play prize set at $2 million.

The size of the September 14 jackpot is also part of a steady sequence of rollovers. The prize was $173 million for the September 5 drawing, climbed to $190 million on September 7 and then reached $207 million on September 9.

Saturday's $232 million prize went unclaimed, producing the current $251 million estimate.

For someone who wins the jackpot, Powerball offers two payment structures. The winner can select the advertised annuity, which is paid through 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or take the one-time cash value. Both figures are stated before federal and applicable jurisdictional taxes.

The distinction between the two options is significant. Although the headline jackpot is $251 million, the immediate cash alternative is considerably smaller at $106.6 million.

A jackpot winner would also have to account for taxes when determining how much of the prize would ultimately remain available.

For now, however, the main question is whether Monday's drawing finally produces a jackpot winner.

Players should keep their tickets safe and check them carefully after the official drawing. Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET, and official results should be used to verify winning numbers and prizes.

Monday, September 14 Powerball results: Pending. The drawing has not yet taken place.

The previous winning numbers were 14, 16, 23, 58, 69 + Powerball 3, but those numbers belong to the September 12 drawing and should not be confused with Monday night's results.

Once the September 14 balls are drawn, the winning combination will determine whether the $251 million jackpot is claimed or rolls over again for the next Powerball drawing.
