Lottery players across the United States are preparing to check their Powerball tickets as the jackpot reaches an estimated $298 million for the Saturday, September 19, 2026, drawing.

As of the latest available information, the September 19 winning numbers have not yet been drawn. The official Powerball website lists the next drawing for Saturday night with an estimated jackpot of $298 million and a cash value of $127.2 million.

That means players looking for the winning combination should wait until after the drawing rather than relying on numbers circulating online before the official result is published.

The previous Powerball drawing took place on Wednesday, September 16. The winning numbers were 2, 21, 24, 25 and 64, with 7 as the Powerball . The Power Play multiplier was 2X. No ticket matched all five white balls and the Powerball, so there was no jackpot winner.

The absence of a jackpot winner pushed the prize into Saturday's drawing, increasing the advertised jackpot to $298 million.

What to know about the September 19 Powerball drawing

The Saturday drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.

A standard Powerball play costs $2. Players select five numbers from 1 through 69 and then choose one Powerball number from 1 through 26. Players can also add Power Play for an additional $1, potentially multiplying eligible non-jackpot prizes.

The advertised $298 million jackpot is based on the annuity option. A jackpot winner can instead choose a lump-sum cash payment.

The official Powerball site currently lists the cash value at $127.2 million, although both figures are stated before applicable federal and jurisdictional taxes.

The previous drawing demonstrates how quickly the jackpot can increase when nobody wins the top prize.

On September 16, the jackpot was estimated at $271 million, with a cash value of $115.2 million. Seven tickets matched all five white balls without the Powerball and won $50,000, while six of those prizes increased to $100,000 through Power Play.

Powerball's official rules give players nine different ways to win a prize. The jackpot requires matching all five white numbers in any order and the red Powerball.

Even when there is no jackpot winner, thousands of tickets can still receive smaller prizes for matching portions of the combination.

Players should also remember that lottery tickets must be checked according to the rules of the jurisdiction where they were purchased. Sales cut-off times can vary between jurisdictions, generally occurring before the scheduled drawing.

Once the September 19 drawing takes place, the official Powerball results will determine whether the $298 million jackpot is won or rolls over again.

Until those numbers are officially drawn and published, any claimed September 19 winning combination should be treated as unverified.

For now, the confirmed numbers remain those from Wednesday's drawing: 2, 21, 24, 25, 64 — Powerball 7, Power Play 2X. The next official opportunity is the September 19 drawing, with the jackpot standing at an estimated $298 million.
