Powerball players have another chance at a multimillion-dollar prize Wednesday night, with the jackpot climbing to an estimated $332 million.

The prize increased after Monday’s drawing ended without a ticket matching all five white balls and the red Powerball.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the Sept. 23 drawing hasn’t taken place, meaning the winning numbers for tonight aren’t available yet. The drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. ET, when players will find out whether someone has finally matched all six numbers needed to claim the jackpot.

The $332 million estimate applies to the annuity option, which is paid over a period of time. Players who choose the one-time cash option would receive an estimated $141.7 million before federal and applicable state taxes.

Monday’s drawing produced the numbers 2, 7, 9, 17 and 58, while 20 was selected as the Powerball. The Power Play multiplier was 2X. N

o ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, and there was also no $2 million Match 5 prize with Power Play. One ticket did match the five white balls without the Power Play addition to win $1 million.

What to know before Wednesday’s drawing

The most recent Powerball jackpot winner came on Aug. 12, when a single ticket sold in Illinois won an estimated $1.04 billion prize. That massive win ended a lengthy jackpot run and marked one of the biggest prizes in Powerball history.

Players can purchase a standard ticket for $2 per play for Wednesday’s drawing. Each play requires five white-ball numbers from 1 through 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 through 26. Players can select their own numbers or use Quick Pick to have them randomly generated.

Power Play is available for an additional $1. The feature can multiply eligible non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or, in certain drawings, 10X.

Winning the jackpot requires matching all five white balls and the Powerball. The odds of winning the grand prize are approximately 1 in 292.2 million, making a jackpot win extremely rare.

Powerball drawings are conducted every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. Tickets are sold across 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, although online purchasing rules vary by jurisdiction.

Players don't have to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to buy a ticket. Visitors who meet the applicable legal age and purchasing requirements can participate in jurisdictions where Powerball is sold. International winners may also claim prizes, although tax obligations can apply.

The $332 million jackpot remains up for grabs. Players should wait for the official Wednesday night drawing before considering any numbers final and should verify tickets through an official lottery source after the results are announced.
