C ostco shoppers have a new viral dessert to look for, with Mini Chocolate & Vanilla Dot Cakes appearing at warehouses across the United States as the six-pack offers a more affordable way to try the colorful treats made famous by The Dot Cakes bakery.

Customers have reported finding the boxes at select Costco locations, although availability may vary by store and each package contains three chocolate and three vanilla cakes, topped with frosting and colorful nonpareil sprinkles.

The Mini Chocolate & Vanilla Dot Cakes have been spotted at select Costco warehouses across America, with the product reported to be rolling out more widely. However, there is no confirmed list of participating stores, so shoppers should check availability at their local warehouse before making a special trip.

The cakes, also known as dotcups, arrive ready to eat, making them an easy option for anyone who wants to sample the dessert without ordering directly from the original bakery. Costco 's rollout also gives fans a chance to share the treats at home rather than purchasing individual cakes.

Unlike traditional bakery-counter purchases, social media reports indicate the boxes are being stocked in the refrigerated sweets section alongside other branded desserts. Checking that area could help customers locate the cakes more quickly during their next shopping visit.

The product comes from The Dot Cakes , the New York -based bakery behind the viral dessert trend. Before the Costco launch, customers who wanted to try the original treats had to order directly from the bakery online or visit its locations.

How much do Costco Dot Cakes cost?

The six-pack has been reported at approximately $14.89, although some reports list the price as $14.99 and prices can vary by location, so customers should confirm the cost at their local warehouse.

Each box contains 27 ounces of cake in total, working out to roughly 56 cents per ounce at $14.99. By comparison, an individual eight-ounce cake purchased directly from the original bakery costs $8, or $1 per ounce.

That makes the offering considerably cheaper by weight as buying six individual eight-ounce cakes from the bakery would cost $48, compared with less than $15 for the Costco package, although the portions are not identical in size.

Early customer reactions have praised the cakes' moist texture, fluffy sponge and creamy frosting, with the crunchy sprinkles providing the familiar finishing touch whilst the six-pack generously allows shoppers to try both flavors without committing to a larger bakery order.
