Who is getting their Social Security check for November this week? Every beneficiary who will get their payment in the coming days
Payments are due as soon as Tuesday, November 3

Millions of Americans are preparing to receive their November Social Security payments, with the first group scheduled to be paid on Tuesday, November 3 as the payment calendar depends on when recipients began claiming benefits. The Social Security Administration distributes retirement, disability and survivor benefits on different dates throughout the month, with most beneficiaries who filed after May 1, 1997, are assigned a Wednesday payment based on their date of birth.
However, people who started receiving benefits before May 1997 follow a separate schedule - and those recipients are due their November payment on Tuesday, November 3, making them the first group to receive money this month. Beneficiaries who began collecting Social Security before May 1997 will receive their payments on November 3 as this group does not follow the birthday-based Wednesday schedule used for most other retirement, disability and survivor recipients. Those who started receiving benefits after May 1, 1997, are divided into three groups according to their birthdays. Anyone born between the first and 10th of a month is scheduled to receive their November payment on Tuesday, November 10. That date differs from the usual second-Wednesday arrangement because November 11 is Veterans Day , a federal holiday so the S ocial Security Administration has moved the payment forward by one day for this group of beneficiaries. Recipients with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month will receive their money on Wednesday, November 18. Those born between the 21st and 31st are scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, completing the month's regular payment calendar. Supplemental Security Income recipients follow a different timetable from people receiving retirement, disability or survivor benefits whilst SSI payments normally arrive on the first day of each month, but the November payment is being issued early because November 1 falls on a Sunday. As a result, people receiving SSI can expect their November payment on Friday, October 30, this means the money arrives before November begins, rather than on the first weekday of the new month.
What should you do if your Social Security payment is missing?
Anyone who does not see an expected electronic payment should contact their bank or financial institution first. The Social Security Administration warns that financial institutions can sometimes experience delays when posting payments to accounts. If the money still has not arrived, recipients can report a late, missing or stolen payment by contacting the SSA . The agency can be reached at 1-800-772-1213 , while TTY users can call 1-800-325-0778 . Additionally, recipients who have not reached full retirement age can work while collecting Social Security , but the earnings test may affect their payments. In 2026, those who will not reach FRA during the year can earn up to $24,480 before benefits are withheld. Above that threshold, the SSA withholds $1 in benefits for every $2 earned. The money is not permanently lost, however, as the agency adjusts monthly payments after recipients reach full retirement age. Only income from employment counts toward this earnings limit, meaning dividends and withdrawals from savings and other passive investment income do not reduce Social Security payments under the earnings test.
