Who is getting their SSDI payment tomorrow? Complete list of beneficiaries for deposit
Your birthday determines whether the next Social Security deposit is heading to your account

The next September Social Security Disability Insurance payment is due Wednesday, with one specific group of beneficiaries first in line under the Social Security Administration ’s staggered monthly schedule.
People receiving SSDI whose birthdays fall between the 1st and 10th of any month are scheduled to receive their September payment on Wednesday, September 9.
That means the month someone was born doesn't affect this particular payment date. A beneficiary born on February 3, July 7 or November 10 would generally be included in the same group because Social Security bases the schedule on the day of the month.
The system divides most Social Security retirement and disability recipients into three groups.
Those born between the 1st and 10th are paid on the second Wednesday, birthdays from the 11th through 20th are paid on the third Wednesday, and those born from the 21st through 31st receive benefits on the fourth Wednesday.
Who should receive an SSDI payment on September 9?
Wednesday’s deposit applies to most SSDI beneficiaries who follow the regular birthday-based Social Security payment calendar and were born between the 1st and 10th.
The same scheduling system is also used for most people receiving Social Security retirement benefits.
Some beneficiaries who receive payments based on another person’s earnings record, including certain spouses and survivors, follow the birthday of the worker whose record provides the benefit rather than their own birthday.
Not every SSDI recipient will be waiting for Wednesday, however. People who began receiving Social Security before May 1997 generally follow a different timetable and are normally paid on the third of the month.
Beneficiaries who receive both Supplemental Security Income and Social Security also typically receive their SSI payment on the first of the month and their Social Security benefit on the third.
Those September payments have therefore already been scheduled earlier in the month.
Two more September payment dates still coming
Beneficiaries who aren't part of the September 9 group may have to wait another week or two.
People whose birthdays fall between the 11th and 20th are scheduled to receive their Social Security payment on Wednesday, September 16. Those born between the 21st and 31st are scheduled for Wednesday, September 23.
Benefits are generally delivered electronically through direct deposit or a Direct Express debit card, meaning recipients don't usually need to take any action for the money to arrive.
A payment may not always appear at exactly the same time for every recipient because individual banks can have different posting procedures.
The SSA advises beneficiaries who do not receive an expected payment to allow three additional mailing days before contacting Social Security.
Anyone expecting money Wednesday should therefore check whether their birthday falls between the 1st and 10th and whether they are covered by one of the exceptions to the standard schedule.
