Great white shark photobombs California beachgoers with a spectacular leap

A group of friends was posing for beach photos at Marina State Beach in California when a great white shark leaped out of the water in the background.

The unexpected jump made it into the video, turning a casual photo moment into a startling wildlife sighting.

California State Parks confirmed a shark matching the great white’s characteristics was spotted off the beach around the time of the video. Shark notices are in effect at the beach.
