Dodgers - Braves Standings: Latest scores, highlights and H2H between both teams
Los Angeles enters the upcoming Atlanta series with the better record, but the Braves have already shown they can trouble the reigning champions

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves are heading into one of the most intriguing series on the August schedule with both teams firmly in the National League playoff picture.
As of August 24, the Dodgers sit at 80-51, while the Braves are 76-55. Los Angeles has also been in excellent form recently, winning five consecutive games after completing a sweep of the Colorado Rockies and then taking a series from the Pittsburgh Pirates .
Atlanta , meanwhile, ended a five-game losing streak by defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 in the Little League Classic on Sunday.
The Dodgers ' latest victory came Monday, when Blake Snell delivered a strong performance in a 4-0 win over Pittsburgh. The result kept Los Angeles comfortably in control of the NL West and added to a recent surge at an important point of the season.
Atlanta arrives at Truist Park having stopped the bleeding against Milwaukee. Tyler Mahle worked more than five innings while allowing only one run, and Michael Harris II provided a crucial insurance run with his 21st home run of the season. Raisel Iglesias then recorded his 27th save.
The result was especially important for a Braves team that had struggled during its preceding road trip.
Dodgers vs. Braves: Head-to-head record and upcoming series
The two teams have already met three times in 2026, and Atlanta currently owns the edge.
The Braves won two of the three games when the teams met in Los Angeles from May 8-10. The Dodgers won the series opener 3-1, but Atlanta responded by taking the final two games by identical 7-2 scores. That leaves the Braves with a 2-1 advantage in the 2026 season series heading into the upcoming matchup.
That history adds another layer of intrigue to the three-game series in Atlanta.
The teams are scheduled to meet at Truist Park from August 25-27, with Tuesday's opener followed by games Wednesday and Thursday.
The series gives the Braves an opportunity to close some of the four-game gap separating them from Los Angeles, while the Dodgers can strengthen their position as one of the National League's leading teams.
The opening game is particularly noteworthy because Los Angeles is expected to bring Tyler Glasnow back into its rotation. Glasnow has been sidelined for more than three months with lower-back spasms and is scheduled to pitch against Atlanta on Tuesday.
He had posted a 2.72 ERA and 49 strikeouts across 39⅔ innings in seven starts before the injury.
The Dodgers ' pitching depth has become increasingly important as the club approaches the final weeks of the regular season. Los Angeles also recently added Tarik Skubal , who struck out 11 over seven innings in his first victory for the team.
Atlanta has plenty of reasons for confidence, too. Despite its recent slump, the Braves remain atop the NL East at 76-55, three games ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies .
Their +110 run differential also demonstrates that the team's overall performance has been considerably stronger than its recent 3-7 stretch might suggest.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, has established itself as the class of the NL West. ESPN's latest power rankings placed the Dodgers among the National League's top teams, while Atlanta also moved into the top three following its strong season-long performance.
With both teams positioned for October, the upcoming three-game set is about more than the standings. The Dodgers are looking to maintain their momentum, while the Braves have a chance to prove that their earlier series victory was no fluke.
And with the season series currently favoring Atlanta 2-1, Los Angeles has an immediate opportunity to even the score.
