Has an MLB team ever come back from 3-0 series deficit? Dodgers staring NLCS elimination right in the face
The Los Angeles Dodgers were handily beaten in Game 3 and need a miracle to avoid elimination by the Milwaukee Brewers.

There was an inkling heading into this year's MLB Postseason that the Los Angeles Dodgers weren't quite the same juggernaut of the last two seasons. Despite that, they discarded the Atlanta Braves with relative ease in the NLDS, setting up a showdown against the Milwaukee Brewers . Well, it hasn't been much of a showdown at all.
After a 6-2 loss at home in Game 3 on Wednesday night, the Dodgers are now in an 0-3 hole in the NLCS . Los Angeles' high-priced lineup simply isn't getting the job done. The Dodgers have only scored seven runs through three games , and are now one loss away from being eliminated.
2004 Boston Red Sox are the only team in MLB history to successfully complete a 3-0 series comeback
Dodgers fans will have to cling on to their unending faith as the team attempts to do something that's nearly unprecedented. There has only been one team in MLB history that was able to overcome a 3-0 series deficit: the 2004 Boston Red Sox .
By now, everyone knows the story. The Red Sox fell behind 3-0 in the ALCS to their bitter rivals, the New York Yankees . Then everything broke their way in epic fashion, they won the final four games, then swept the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series .
Only one other team in MLB history has even been able to force a Game 7 after falling behind 3-0 in a playoff series. The 2020 Houston Astros forced a Game 7 against the Tampa Bay Rays , but their comeback ultimately fell short. The Dodgers will need everything to go their way to make this NLCS interesting.
