‘Is he real?’: Mets top prospect Mitch Voit goes viral as fans call him the ‘most attractive person ever’ and suspect he’s AI
The Mets prospect has the stats to match the looks

Mitch Voit is quickly becoming one of the New York Mets’ most intriguing young players, but his latest wave of attention has come from somewhere completely unexpected.
The 21-year-old infield prospect went viral Monday after video from his media availability at Citi Field circulated widely on social media. Fans became fascinated by Voit’s appearance, with several joking that he looked too polished to be real.
One social media user called Voit the “most attractive person of all time” and compared him to an AI-generated Disney prince. Another joked that the Mets had become the first MLB team to use an AI-generated prospect.
“I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: Mitch Voit might be the most attractive person of all time. Dude deadass looks like an AI generated Disney prince,” wrote one person on X.
Others pointed to the combination of his appearance and his impressive statistics, joking that Voit could be equally comfortable on a baseball field or in a cologne advertisement.
The unexpected attention comes during a season in which Voit has established himself as one of the organization’s most promising prospects.
Mitch Voit’s rapid rise through the Mets system
The Mets selected Voit with the 38th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft after his standout career at Michigan. He arrived in professional baseball as a two-way player, having played several infield positions while also pitching in college.
New York has since concentrated on his development as a position player. Voit has worked extensively at shortstop this season, adding another position to his already versatile defensive profile. MLB Pipeline ranks him as the Mets’ No. 4 prospect.
His performance has backed up that high ranking. Voit finished the season with a .273 batting average, 13 home runs, 59 RBIs and 45 stolen bases over 105 games between High-A Brooklyn and Double-A Binghamton.
His production became even more impressive as the season progressed. From May 24 through the end of the minor-league campaign, Voit hit .300 with an .866 OPS. Following his promotion to Double-A in late July, he batted .347 with two home runs and a .947 OPS over 29 games.
Those numbers helped earn Voit the Mets’ 2026 Minor League Player of the Year award.
Mets interim manager Andy Green has also highlighted Voit’s mindset.
“You don’t worry about people who are wired that way,” Green said Monday.
“You believe in people who are wired that way, that continue to do the right thing, regardless of how tough the circumstances get, because the circumstances get a lot tougher [in the major leagues].”
Voit says his focus is on understanding his strengths, identifying how they match up against each pitcher and getting the most out of every at-bat.
That approach could help him continue climbing toward the major leagues.
Alongside Voit’s growing reputation as a legitimate Mets prospect, he’s become an internet sensation among fans who still can't quite believe he looks like a real person.
