Aaron Boone can get Cody Bellinger back, but the whole world is waiting for Aaron Judge
Yankees get a major boost with Bellinger’s return, but suffer a costly pitching loss at a critical time.

The New York Yankees received a major boost on Sunday with the return of Cody Bellinger , who was activated from the injured list and is set to reinforce an offense that has struggled to produce runs in recent weeks.
It wasn't all good news for New York, however. To make room for Bellinger on the roster, pitcher Ryan Weathers was placed on the 15-day injured list with a flexor muscle strain.

Bellinger's return comes at a crucial time for the Yankees, who are still dealing with several key injuries and hope to welcome back stars like Aaron Judge and Max Fried in the near future.
"I'm very excited," Bellinger said Saturday, according to MLB.com . "I feel good. I'm ready to go."
The outfielder is hitting .259 this season with 11 home runs and 53 RBIs . He had been sidelined with a hamstring strain, an injury he now says he has fully recovered from.
"As the days went on, I was pretty much running at full speed," Bellinger said. "I did defense, and more than you would probably do in a normal game. You just want to make sure you're on your feet for a long period of time."
As for Ryan Weathers , the outlook is also encouraging. Although he was placed on the injured list, the right-hander said he does not believe his season is over.
"Weathers says he doesn't necessarily think this ends his season. Says tests show elbow is fine. Says he dealt with something similar last season in MIA and it kept him out a month, but that was more severe. Says he could have kept pitching but wanted to be smart. No plan yet," The Athletic reported on X Sunday.
At 73-56, the Yankees sit second in the American League East behind the Tampa Bay Rays , but they remain firmly in the division race and hope to build momentum heading into the MLB playoffs .
