Anthony Volpe's desolation after another Yankees playoff failure: "Enough is enough"

He made the key play that could have changed the final outcome of the game against the Rays

Anthony Volpe was at the center of the play everyone is talking about, and it could have changed the final outcome of the matchup between the Yankees and the Rays.

Fan interference prevented the home run from going on the board, and Aaron Boone's team was once again eliminated prematurely from the MLB playoffs.

Since he arrived on the team, Volpe has stumbled over the same stone four times, and the player showed his frustration to reporters when they asked him about it. "This is my fourth season. It has happened too many times already and I’m left with this bitter taste in my mouth," he admitted.

"I think I'm just pissed off. There are too many things to blame oneself for. Enough already," he said, tired of repeating failure.

Finally, he referred to the play that will be remembered for the interference by the Yankees fan. “We lost. That’s what we have to deal with now. It’s what happened,” he said.

Regarding the umpire review of the play, he was honest about his feelings at that moment. "I was just hoping for the best. It’s crazy,” he stated.
