The New York Yankees have gone through an inconsistent stretch in recent weeks, although they have managed to find some momentum with a few victories, improving their record to 80-60 with one month remaining in the regular season.

New York has had to compete for much of the year without its biggest star, Aaron Judge , who continues to recover from a rib injury and is expected to return before the start of the playoffs.

Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman have the organization’s support

Despite the usual pressure that comes with leading a franchise like the Yankees, manager Aaron Boone and general manager Brian Cashman are reportedly not in danger of losing their jobs.

MLB insider Robert Murray of FanSided recently analyzed the future of both executives and said they have the necessary support to remain in charge of the Yankees’ project.

“Both Cashman and Boone have done a very good job in New York. Cashman is a surefire Hall of Fame executive. Boone is very good at his job and, like I mentioned with Lovullo, would be hired in a second if he was ever let go. I firmly expect both to remain with the Yankees beyond the 2026 season. They do not feel like they are in any danger of being let go,” Murray reported.

Although the Yankees have not won a World Series since 2009 , the organization has remained one of the most competitive teams in Major League Baseball during that span. Their most recent appearance in the Fall Classic came in 2024 , when they fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers .

Heading into this season, New York remains considered a contender to compete for a championship, although it faces a difficult battle in the, especially against its division rival, the Tampa Bay Rays .

Even if the Yankees fail to end their championship drought this season, all signs point to Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman continuing to have the organization’s confidence.
