Paul Skenes ‘ignores’ Olivia Dunne as she begs Pirates star for a picture from the stands

Olivia Dunne tried everything. She called Paul Skenes' name. She told him she was a huge fan. She asked for a picture. She even shouted that she loved him and begged, “Please, please.” Skenes just kept walking.
For a few hilarious seconds, anyone unfamiliar with their relationship could have been forgiven for thinking the Pittsburgh Pirates star had just brutally ignored one of the most enthusiastic fans in the stadium. Except, of course, the woman desperately trying to get his attention from the stands was his girlfriend.
“Hey Paul, I'm a huge fan,” Dunne shouted as Skenes made his way off the mound. “Can I have a picture? I'm a big fan. I love you, please, please.”

The entire clip lasts only around nine seconds, but Dunne makes the most of every one of them. Rather than simply calling out to Skenes , she acts out the role of an excited fan hoping for one unforgettable interaction with the Pirates ace, even becoming increasingly dramatic when he appears to keep walking without giving her what she wants.
Dunne obviously doesn't need to beg Skenes for a photograph. The two have been together since 2023 , when their relationship began attracting attention while Skenes was still making his rapid journey toward the majors and Dunne was competing as a gymnast at LSU.
Their lives have changed considerably since then. Skenes has become one of the biggest young stars in baseball, while Dunne's gymnastics career has ended and she remains one of the most recognizable personalities to emerge from college sports. Through all of it, she has frequently been seen supporting Skenes from the stands.
This time, though, she wasn't interested in simply being the supportive girlfriend. For nine seconds, Olivia Dunne became another desperate Paul Skenes fan.
