An elated Arch Manning extends a tempting invitation to ESPN's Holly Rowe following Texas' latest victory
The Texas quarterback shared a light-hearted moment with the sideline reporter after the Longhorns defeated Ole Miss 34-27

Arch Manning had plenty of reasons to celebrate after Texas secured a crucial victory over Ole Miss on Saturday, October 24.
But the quarterback's postgame interview with ESPN reporter Holly Rowe also produced a memorable moment, as he jokingly suggested that she should cover more of the Longhorns ' games.
“I think you need to start doing our games more,” Manning said after Texas improved to 5-2 with the 34-27 win in Austin. “We're 3-0 with you this year.”
Rowe appeared happy to accept the invitation, responding: “Hey, we'll take it.”
The exchange offered a lighter ending to a game that had tested Texas' composure. It also represented a significant contrast to the tense interaction between Rowe and head coach Steve Sarkisian after the Longhorns defeated Ohio State in September.
That earlier interview attracted widespread attention online, with the awkward exchange prompting a wave of discussion and even fake AI-generated videos.
Manning subsequently addressed the situation and publicly apologized to Rowe after referencing one of the fabricated clips in a light-hearted interaction with reporters.
Texas overcome late pressure to defeat Ole Miss
This time, the atmosphere was far more relaxed as Manning celebrated a victory against a ranked opponent.
Texas built a 24-3 halftime advantage before Ole Miss mounted a determined comeback, eventually tying the score at 24 early in the fourth quarter.
Manning played an important role in the Longhorns' response. Although he threw two interceptions and was sacked twice, he finished with 212 passing yards, one touchdown pass and two rushing touchdowns.
His decisive one-yard run restored Texas' lead after the Rebels had fought their way back into contention.
The Longhorns then had to withstand a frantic finish. Ole Miss recovered an onside kick late in the game, giving the visitors another opportunity to level the score.
However, quarterback Trinidad Chambliss threw an interception to Jelani McDonald on the final play, allowing Texas to secure the win.
Manning credited the defensive unit when Rowe asked about the result.
“Our defense came in clutch, that's what it's all about,” Manning told Rowe .
The victory was especially important after consecutive losses to Oklahoma and Florida had raised questions about Texas' form and Manning's performances.
There had also been discussion about backup quarterback KJ Lacey receiving additional first-team practice opportunities.
Texas' success against Ole Miss should ease some of that pressure, although Manning's two interceptions showed there remains room for improvement.
Running back Raleek Brown was another major contributor, rushing for 157 yards as the Longhorns finished with 207 yards on the ground.
For Manning , the night brought both a valuable win and a chance to share a laugh with Rowe.
His invitation for the reporter to return may have been playful, but it captured the relief around a Texas team that needed a response.
After a difficult stretch and a controversial episode earlier in the season, the quarterback finally had a postgame moment defined by celebration rather than tension.
