Hudson used October 3 to make a carefully timed pop-culture reference
Jordon Hudson has made a habit of drawing attention with her game-day outfits, but Saturday’s look came with an extra layer of meaning.
The girlfriend of North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick wore a baby pink silk corset with matching wide-leg trousers as UNC faced Notre Dame, pairing the outfit with oversized glasses and a pink bedazzled football-shaped handbag.
The timing was hard to miss. October 3 has become closely associated with Mean Girls because of a scene in which Cady Heron , played by Lindsay Lohan, recalls a brief interaction with her crush Aaron Samuels .
“On October 3rd, he asked me what day it was,” Cady says in the film. “It’s October 3rd.”
That line has turned the date into an annual reference point for fans of the movie, while pink is also central to the film because of the Plastics’ rule: “On Wednesdays, we wear pink.”
Hudson look carried clear pop-culture theme
Hudson ’s outfit appeared to combine both references while still keeping a football connection through the sparkling handbag. It also followed another eye-catching appearance earlier in the season.

She completed that look with white heels and a small white bag. Hudson has otherwise been relatively quiet on social media in recent months.
Her last post came in June, when she and Belichick attended the Kentucky Derby together.
Hudson continues to appear alongside Belichick
Her public support for Belichick hasn't been limited to home games. Hudson also traveled with him during a recent high school scouting trip, joining him in Maryland on September 25 to watch Archbishop Spalding face Gilman from the press box.
The couple have been dating since 2023, and Hudson has remained a visible presence as Belichick continues his transition from the NFL to college football. Saturday’s result, however, didn't go North Carolina’s way.
UNC fell 37-26 to Notre Dame , extending the Tar Heels ’ losing streak to two games. Belichick ’s team now turns its attention to Pittsburgh next week, with another opportunity to steady the season.
Hudson , meanwhile, managed to create one of the day’s most talked-about fashion moments before the final score was even settled. The pink corset wasn't simply a game-day choice. On October 3, it was a very deliberate Mean Girls reference.
