Kansas-Missouri referee pulls a hamstring trying to keep up with wild blocked field goal return

The Kansas-Missouri rivalry became so chaotic that even the referee could not escape without getting hurt.

Jason Autrey appeared to injure his hamstring while attempting to keep pace with Kansas’ Austin Alexander, who recovered a blocked field goal and returned it for a touchdown.

Autrey immediately began limping and made his way toward the Missouri sideline in obvious discomfort. He was later taken away from the field on a cart.

Umpire Ron Turner replaced him as head referee for the remainder of the game. Missouri eventually survived the blocked kicks and defeated Kansas 38-21.
