Lane Kiffin’s daughter complicates things for her father, as everything points to a breakup with a LSU star
Breakup rumors surrounding Landry Kiffin and Whit Weeks are gaining traction online

Landry Kiffin and LSU linebacker Whit Weeks are at the center of breakup speculation after a series of social-media clues caught fans’ attention.
Neither has confirmed a split, but Landry’s recent activity has raised questions about their relationship and the situation facing her father, LSU head coach Lane Kiffin.
The rumors gained momentum after Landry shared a TikTok video during a visit to Dallas for the Red River Rivalry. She lip-synced to Big Sean’s “Beware,” including lyrics about a woman with a broken heart.
The post quickly prompted followers to wonder whether it hinted at trouble in her relationship.
Her activity in the comments added to the speculation. Reports say Landry liked messages suggesting she was single and responded to a fan who joked about returning a Halloween costume inspired by the couple.
They’ve also reportedly removed some references to each other from their social-media accounts. However, they continue following one another, and neither has publicly addressed the rumours.
Landry was in Dallas while LSU suffered a 35-34 overtime defeat to Kentucky. She attended Oklahoma’s 27-24 victory over Texas at the Cotton Bowl, wearing Texas gear and joking that she was “scouting out the competition.”
A personal story meets LSU’s football problems
The speculation has attracted additional interest because Lane Kiffin and Weeks share a coach-player relationship. Kiffin took charge at LSU after coaching at Ole Miss, where Landry’s previous relationship with quarterback Walker Howard also drew attention.
Howard transferred from LSU to Ole Miss in 2023, later moved to Louisiana and returned in 2026.
Weeks previously addressed the unusual arrangement of playing for his girlfriend’s father, saying it hadn’t affected their relationship. He explained that football remained the priority at LSU’s facilities, while away from the team, Kiffin was simply his girlfriend’s father.
Meanwhile, LSU has pressing concerns beyond the rumors. Weeks , who earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2024 after recording 125 tackles and 10 tackles for loss, is recovering from a fractured lower right leg sustained against Texas A&M. His absence represents a significant setback for the Tigers’ defense.
Kiffin has also acknowledged that mounting injuries could force LSU to experiment with different players and tactical approaches. The team’s narrow defeat against Kentucky and subsequent loss to Ole Miss have increased scrutiny of its ability to deliver in decisive moments.
"We know we've had a lot of injuries," Kiffin said on The Lane Kiffin Show. "So are there, with two weeks, are there things we could move around and try different schemes or players at different spots in those things and at the same time too recruit, you know later in the week as coaches."
Ahead of the Auburn matchup, Kiffin faces the challenge of improving consistency while managing an injury-hit roster. The Tigers will need to minimize mistakes and capitalize on scoring opportunities if they hope to regain momentum.
