Lane Kiffin’s daughter suffers vulgar backlash from Ole Miss fans over her father’s drastic decision that enraged them
She remains a student at the university her father decided to leave

L andry Kiffin woke up to photographs of vulgar banners hanging from houses around Oxford, Mississippi. The messages made sexual claims about Lane Kiffin’s daughter and linked her to former Ole Miss running back Ulysses Bentley IV, a man she says she has “genuinely never met” in her life.
“I don’t think it should be okay to turn a girl into the punchline of a sexual joke just because you’re angry with someone she is related to,” Landry said. “I am my own person.” There is no public evidence supporting the rumor, nor are there any lawsuits or formal complaints involving Landry and Bentley.
Why Ole Miss fans are angry with Lane Kiffin
The hostility stems from Kiffin’s controversial departure from Ole Miss in November 2025. After leading the Rebels to an 11-1 regular-season record and their first College Football Playoff appearance, he accepted a seven-year, $91 million contract to become LSU’s head coach .
He asked to remain at Ole Miss during the playoffs, but athletic director Keith Carter rejected the request and promoted Pete Golding. Kiffin later admitted that he regretted how he handled the “messy” departure.
Many Ole Miss supporters viewed that departure as a betrayal, especially because Kiffin joined an SEC rival and several assistants and players eventually followed him to LSU. Ole Miss has since sued former Rebels players Princewill Umanmielen and Devin Harper over alleged breaches of their revenue-sharing agreements. However, those cases are against the players not Landry and provide no support for the sexual claims displayed on the banners.
Landry, 21, is still pursuing a degree in business administration at Ole Miss and is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. That connection made the attack even more painful: she has repeatedly expressed how much she loves the university and her life in Oxford, even after her father left for LSU.
Lane Kiffin will now return to Oxford wearing LSU colors, fully aware that he will be booed by the same fan base that once celebrated him. Fans have every right to reject his decision or question the way he left, but Landry’s message drew a clear human boundary: anger toward a football coach does not justify taking it out on him through his daughter. She had nothing to do with her father’s decision.
