Ole Miss star Trinidad Chambliss apologizes to Holly Rowe for postgame F-bomb
The rising Heisman contender apologized to Holly Rowe after an expletive slipped out during his postgame interview

Trinidad Chambliss had every reason to be emotional after Ole Miss finished off one of its biggest wins of the season.
The Rebels quarterback had just thrown for 363 yards and two touchdowns, added another score on the ground and helped Ole Miss beat LSU 32-24 in Oxford.
The victory pushed the Rebels to 3-0 and further elevated Chambliss into the early Heisman conversation. Then came a moment he quickly regretted.
During his on-field interview with ESPN reporter Holly Rowe , Chambliss praised his preparation and faith before ending the exchange with an expletive-laced version of the Ole Miss “Hotty Toddy” chant.
“I just trust in God. I trust in my preparation as well. We worked our butts off this whole week and this whole year, and it's just go and do it,” Chambliss told Rowe .
After she thanked him, he shouted, “Thank you so much. Hotty [expletive] toddy!” and ran off to celebrate.
The language drew criticism, and Chambliss addressed it publicly the following day.
“Emotions were high,” Chambliss said Sunday. “That’s the best play in football, you know, being in victory formation. But yeah, my emotions were high after the game. I got kind of caught up in the moment with the interview.
“That’s not who I am, so I deeply, I'm deeply apologetic to Holly Rowe and, you know, everyone out there who was listening. That's not who I am.”
The apology came after a night that carried plenty of emotional weight beyond the final score.
LSU erased a 24-7 deficit with 17 unanswered points, turning what had looked like a comfortable Ole Miss win into a fourth-quarter fight. Chambliss responded when the Rebels needed him most.
With the game tied, he helped lead the decisive drive and then scored on a 14-yard run to put Ole Miss back in front.
“I tried to stay calm, you know, throughout the whole game regardless of the situation,” Chambliss said. “Can’t get too high, can’t get too low.”
He finished 33-of-48 passing and accounted for 365 total yards and three touchdowns, earning SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Win meant more than beating Lane Kiffin
The matchup also had another layer because former Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin was on the opposite sideline with LSU .
“This one meant a lot more than the other games,” Chambliss said. “I wanted this one really bad and our team did too.
“I feel like the whole nation just kind of like disrespects Ole Miss. I’m happy that we got this win for our fans and the people that support Ole Miss.”
Chambliss left Saturday as one of the hottest quarterbacks in college football. By Sunday, he was also reminding people how quickly an emotional celebration can become part of the story.
