The next Michael Irving plays for Miami and broke a 42-year-old record for the Hurricanes

Sophomore wide receiver Malachi Toney had a record-setting night against Stanford as the No. 7 Miami Hurricanes beat Stanford on the road.
The reigning ACC Rookie of the Year finished with 12 catches for 234 yards and three touchdowns, something that legendary Canes wideout Michael Irvin praised after the game.
The former Dallas Cowboys superstar congratulated Toney, and Miami fans are wondering if the stellar offensive player could become the next “Playmaker.”
One thing is for sure: the Hurricanes want to go back to the national championship game, just like last year, but this time with a different outcome: lifting the trophy in January.
