LeBron James is all in on the Browns while Shedeur Sanders watches all the success from the bench
LeBron James celebrated another dramatic Browns victory, but while Cleveland keeps piling up wins, Shedeur Sanders remains stuck on the sidelines watching it all unfold.

L eBron James needed nothing more than three letters and a pair of dog emojis to celebrate the Cleveland Browns ’ latest win. The NBA superstar erupted with excitement on social media after another dramatic victory by his favorite NFL team.
The Akron native reacted on X after Cleveland edged the Tennessee Titans 27-24 on Sunday, October 25. A last-second field goal improved the Browns’ record to 5-2 and triggered a celebration from one of their most famous fans.
Although he was a well-known Dallas Cowboys fan growing up, LeBron’s NFL loyalties shifted several years ago. The 2016 NBA champion with Cleveland has publicly backed the Browns since before the franchise ended its long playoff drought.
When the team clinched a postseason berth after the 2020 season, ending an 18-year absence, James celebrated the milestone but made clear the real goal was just beginning.
“Playoff bound! Congrats Browns!! Yessir!!!! Don’t be satisfied though!” he wrote in January 2021.
Why LeBron James stopped supporting the Cowboys
LeBron made his switch official in October 2022 during a live Instagram stream with his friend and business partner Maverick Carter . In that conversation he explained that he stopped rooting for the Cowboys over the organization’s stance toward players who knelt during the national anthem as a form of protest.
“I had to sit out on the Cowboys, man,” James said, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
While he still admires several Dallas players, he said his connection to the franchise was over.
“I’m all in on the Browns,” he declared.
Beyond his passion for Cleveland, LeBron is also one of the most prominent supporters of Ohio State football . Buckeyes coach Ryan Day has publicly highlighted that support.
Cleveland wins another one at the buzzer
The Browns once again delivered a heart-stopping finish. Tennessee jumped out to a 14-0 lead and later tied the game 24-24 with a touchdown in the final minute, creating the sense that the game was slipping away.
But Deshaun Watson responded with ice in his veins. The quarterback hit Harold Fannin Jr. for a 36-yard completion that put the Browns in position for the game-winning field goal.
Then Andre Szmyt stepped up and drilled a 32-yarder as time expired to seal the victory.
Dramatic finishes have become a Browns habit. All five of their wins this season have come by four points or fewer after earlier victories over Tampa Bay (23-19) , Carolina (21-18) , Pittsburgh (27-24) , Baltimore (13-10), and now Tennessee .
Coach Todd Monken acknowledged that the team keeps finding different ways to win.
“That was a fun one,” Monken said afterward. “Never looks the same but feels the same.”
Beyond the result, Cleveland produced its best offensive performance of the season with 491 total yards . Watson completed 25 of 36 passes for 308 yards —his highest total of the year—while also adding a rushing touchdown. KC Concepcion shone with eight catches for 129 yards, and Quinshon Judkins contributed two rushing touchdowns.
The Browns will now look to keep the momentum going when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 1 , with a chance to complete the season sweep after winning the first meeting on October 1 .
