Shedeur Sanders shows his class once again in defense of Deshaun Watson: "I don't really appreciate that"
Watson had to deal with a rough home game in Week 2 of the preseason, but his Cleveland Browns teammate has his back.
It has been a preseason to forget for first-year head coach Todd Monken and the Cleveland Browns . After getting crushed 34-10 by the Chicago Bears last week, the Browns got dominated 31-7 by the Buffalo Bills this week, and this time it happened at home in front of their fans.
Those same fans ended up turning into the story of the day. The home fans turned on Deshaun Watson , booing him throughout his appearance in the second half. After the game, Watson spoke about how it's become a "personal" thing against him, and not about performance .
Shedeur Sanders , on the other hand, started the game and played relatively well. He then watched as Watson struggled and the fans made their choice in the quarterback competition clear. Despite that, Sanders getting a leg up in this fashion doesn't sit well with the young quarterback at all .

While speaking to the media after the game, Sanders echoed Watson's comment that it was disrespectful of the fans to boo their quarterback - no matter his history on and off the field .
Just for all the fans, I really appreciate y'all showing up and everything. However y'all feel about the situation with Deshaun and about everything. Still, I think it's more about a bigger purpose than to disrespect. It's just a respect thing that I feel like should be there. Because we're all out there trying to do our best and trying to serve the franchise the best way possible... So I don't really appreciate that.
Despite being in a full-blown, heated quarterback competition, Watson is Sanders' teammate at the end of the day . They both want the best for each other and the team, despite what many might be led to believe.
