Shilo Sanders explains Shedeur's "immature" moment with Browns reporter before Saints game
Shedeur is expected to start in Week 9 if Deshaun Watson doesn't clear the concussion protocol.

As of right now, with the Cleveland Browns vs. New Orleans Saints game just a few days away, it's unclear who the starting quarterback will be for head coach Todd Monken . Deshaun Watson is still in the concussion protocol, meaning Shedeur Sanders would be next up if the starter can't go on Sunday.
This would be Sanders' first start since the final game of the 2025 season. The second-year player got beat out by Watson over the summer in the Browns' quarterback competition. Now, he'll get his chance to show he should have been the pick from the get-go.
As the game nears, Sanders has once again started to get more media attention, since he looks more and more likely to be the starter. That led to one somewhat awkward moment with longtime Browns beat reporter Mary Kay Cabot this week.
Shedeur Sanders once again the subject of criticism for moment with Browns reporter
Cabot asked Sanders what he had seen on film from the Saints defense that stood out to him, and Sanders began laughing before opining: " Yeah, I've seen a lot. When I smile, just know that means… something. I'm maturing, you know what I'm saying? I'm maturing. I could have gave that a decent answer. Now I'm just gonna smile when it's some questions, you know. "
Sanders' response drew criticism, with many calling him " immature " or " dumb ". His brother, Shilo Sanders , came out to clear the air on the situation and explain why Shedeur couldn't help but laugh.
" Has he studied the Saints defense? That's probably why he's laughing. It's like, bruh, what do you think we go there and do every morning in meetings? "
Shedeur hasn't had the best relationship with some reporters, and Cabot is certainly one who likes poking the bear a little bit. They have a bit of a contentious history together since Shedeur joined the Browns.
