“Bring Mike Tomlin to Dallas Now”: Fans demand Jerry Jones fire Brian Schottenheimer to save Dak Prescott
Could the Dallas Cowboys turn to the former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach?

The Dallas Cowboys are facing renewed calls for a coaching change after their 24-16 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , with former defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko urging Jerry Jones to replace Brian Schottenheimer with Mike Tomlin . Dallas dropped to 2-3 after shocking losing at AT&T Stadium to a Tampa Bay team that entered the matchup without a win and was missing starting quarterback Baker Mayfield – a team the Cowboys were tipped to demolish.
Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels led the Buccaneers instead, but the visitors still managed to control possession and capitalize on three Cowboys turnovers and the result intensified scrutiny of Schottenheimer . He will have been in the role for two years come January 2027 but the questions about his leadership have grown as Dallas struggles to turn its offensive production into victories, and the defense continues to struggle. Jerry Jones has dismissed the possibility as of replacing Schottenheimer "premature”, but Fehoko , however, believes the franchise needs a more decisive response if they hope to reach the NFL Playoffs. The 28-year-old, who played in the NFL from 2020-2024, used social media to make his case for the former Pittsburgh head coach to take over in Dallas – and he also defended Dak Prescott . “Dak Prescott went 24/42 for 300-plus yards, one touchdown, and both of his interceptions came off of guys dropping it wide open in their hands,” Fehoko posted on X.com, formerly Twitter. “Tip drill, and both picks go to the defense. “I can’t stress enough how much help Dak Prescott needs. He doesn’t have a defense. Christian Parker, he’s out here with Cartier glasses and baby diamond studs in his ears. Defense can’t stop a nosebleed. “CeeDee Lamb gets hurt; Dak still throws for 300-plus, goes 99 yards when they need him to. Schottenheimer, you got to get fired. Mike Tomlin needs to be in Dallas tomorrow for the head coaching job. “This is bad. This is not on Dak Prescott. Not going for that. He’s the best quarterback in the NFC.”
Prescott hits back at fan who called Cowboys loss embarrassing
Fehoko 's comments reflect the frustration surrounding a team expected to compete, and although Prescott' s two interceptions proved costly, he argued that the circumstances surrounding those plays and the wider defensive shortcomings made it unfair to solely blame primarily on the quarterback. Prescott also addressed an uncomfortable moment involving a stadium worker after Thursday's defeat, criticizing the employee for appearing to withdraw his comments once the quarterback realized what had been said. The worker reportedly described the loss as "embarrassing" whilst Prescott was walking toward the locker room, although the veteran later explained that he took issue not with the criticism itself. He took issue with the apparent change in the worker's behavior after their eyes met, feeling the stadium worker could not commit to his attitude. "When he said it, I just happened to look at him, and at that point, he looked away," Prescott said. "And when I turned my head back, he said something else. “And so that's the part that, just as a man or as just a person, feel free to speak your mind. Just speak it. Don't cower away from the reaction that you're going to get. And so, if you're saying it's embarrassing, say it's embarrassing. “If you're saying it to me, then say it to me. Don't go back on it. So that's all that was, and hate that it's even being talked about, to be honest with you."
