Camden Brown keeps hitting big plays and makes Brian Schottenheimer's decision even harder
The undrafted rookie wide receiver is making a serious push for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Every preseason, there are always one or two players who become fan favorites. They don't always end up making the 53-man roster to start the season, but their underdog stories are impossible to not sympathize with.
This year, that's very much Camden Brown for the Dallas Cowboys . Brown was an undrafted free agent before joining the Cowboys, having had an unconventional college football career. He failed to make an impact in three seasons at Auburn , but exploded with a 65/1,079/14 season at Georgia Southern in his final collegiate year.
Camden Brown is making a serious case to be on Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster
After a strong summer period with the team, Brown made the most of his opportunity in Dallas' first preseason game. He caught three passes for 62 yards, with two of those turning into touchdowns .
On Saturday, Brown was at it again making big plays. In the second quarter of the team's game against the Arizona Cardinals , Brown got loose for a 70-yard reception that nearly ended with another touchdown.
Brown's ascension makes head coach Brian Schottenheimer and the front office's final cut decisions very difficult. CeeDee Lamb , George Pickens , Ryan Flournoy , and Kavontae Turpin are roster locks. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is probably safe, too, and Jonathan Mingo scored a 53-yard touchdown in that same Cardinals game.
With those six in place, it would be surprising if the Cowboys ended up keeping seven wide receivers on the 53-man roster . That would leave Brown as the odd man out, with the hope of sneaking him through waivers onto the practice squad. But given his preseason performances, he would likely get scooped up before he made it back to the Cowboys.
