Dak Prescott's desperate complaint about Erin Andrews' outfit at a Cowboys game: “What are we doing?”
The FOX Sports reporter revealed why her Christmas-inspired outfit caught the quarterback's attention

Erin Andrews has spent years reporting from NFL sidelines, but her wardrobe choices have attracted almost as much attention as the action on the field.
The FOX Sports reporter recently revealed that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott once questioned her decision to wear a Christmas-green suit during a game, prompting an amusing exchange between the two.
Speaking on her Calm Down with Erin and Charissa podcast, Andrews recalled that players haven't always been shy about commenting on her clothing.
She explained that she generally avoids wearing team colors because she doesn't want her appearance to suggest she's supporting one side over the other.
However, that approach didn't prevent an awkward encounter with Prescott during a Christmas Eve matchup. Andrews remembered wearing a green suit, explaining that her choice had everything to do with the holiday rather than football loyalties.
“Oh, and I’ve had players call me out, like literally call me out,” she said. “They’ll be like, ‘Oh, really? Wow. What, what are you doing?’ I was working a Dallas Cowboys Christmas Eve game years ago, and I had a fabulous, like, Christmas green suit, and the Cowboys won.
“And Dak was like, ‘What are we doing?’ And I was like, ‘I swear to God, this is all about Christmas.’ Like, he goes, ‘You couldn’t wear red?’ And I was like, ‘I wore red for Thanksgiving.’ Like, come on.”
Andrews refuses to let fashion criticism dictate her sideline style
The green suit isn't the only outfit that's sparked conversation. Andrews previously made headlines after wearing a dramatic black-and-white fur coat during a 49ers-Eagles wild-card playoff game in Philadelphia.
Some viewers compared the look to Disney villain Cruella de Vil, but the reporter was delighted with the outfit and defended her decision.
“In the wind, I know it looked like a Beyoncé video. It felt fun, it felt fabulous, it felt like a big event, it felt like a big wild-card playoff game on Fox. It was the perfect time to wear this piece, and I’m so excited we did it,” she said.
Andrews has also been open about the pressures of live reporting. Following the October 25 Packers-Lions game at Detroit's Ford Field, she criticized her own halftime performance during her podcast.
A lengthy conversation with Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur , combined with a last-minute scramble for injury updates, left her short on preparation time and breathless when she went on air.
“I’m fully f***ing out of breath, which is inappropriate,” Andrews said.
“Like, get it together, sister. In through the nose, out through the mouth. It was all because the ramp was so long.”
She described the experience as a learning opportunity and recalled Tom Brady offering a sympathetic “Aww” after she promised to get herself together.
These moments highlight the unpredictable nature of sideline reporting for Andrews . Whether dealing with Prescott's fashion commentary or racing to deliver accurate updates, the job requires here to be on point at all times.
