Jerry Jones drops brutal two-word statement after Cowboys’ loss to Buccaneers
Jerry Jones didn’t hold back after the Cowboys’ disappointing loss to the Buccaneers.

Jerry Jones made no secret of his disappointment after the Dallas Cowboys suffered a 24-16 home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , a result that raises concerns and exposes the doubts surrounding the team.
The Dallas owner, who enjoyed tremendous success in the 1990s when the franchise won three Super Bowl titles , is now facing a very different reality. The Cowboys missed the playoffs in each of the last two seasons , and although they entered this campaign with renewed expectations, they have yet to establish themselves as legitimate contenders.
Dallas boasts an explosive offense and made adjustments to strengthen its defense, but the loss to Tampa Bay leaves the team with a 2-3 record. The result is even more concerning because the Buccaneers played without their starting quarterback, Baker Mayfield , who is injured.
From his usual suite, Jones watched as his team's mistakes at crucial moments sealed the outcome. After the game, the Cowboys owner was asked about the team's performance and summed up his feelings with a blunt statement.
“Extraordinarily disappointing,” Jones said after the game.
The Cowboys expose their weaknesses against Tampa Bay
The loss once again put Dallas' performance on both sides of the ball under scrutiny. The team showed some positive signs in the first half but lost control after halftime and failed to respond to Tampa Bay's surge.
The Cowboys went into the locker room with a 10-7 lead, but the Buccaneers answered with 17 points in the third quarter to change the course of the game. Dallas attempted a late comeback, but its hopes ended when the opposing defense intercepted Dak Prescott's final pass of the night.
The quarterback struggled to deliver in key moments, completing 24 of 42 passes for 316 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
In the running game, Javonte Williams led the way with 12 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown . Meanwhile, George Pickens delivered his best performance of the season, recording nine receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown.
Green Bay, Dallas' next test
The Cowboys will have little time to dwell on the loss. Their next game will be on the road against the Green Bay Packers in Week 6 , a matchup that will test their ability to bounce back after a defeat that left Jones bitterly disappointed.
