The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders take the city by storm with concert alongside Megan Moroney
A performance of “Am I Okay?” became a hometown spectacle when Moroney unveiled her surprise guests

Megan Moroney knew exactly where she was performing when her Cloud 9 Tour rolled into Dallas.
What initially looked like another packed stop on the country star’s growing tour became something much more specific to Texas when the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders suddenly appeared alongside her.
The surprise came at American Airlines Center on August 14 as Moroney performed her 2024 hit “Am I Okay?". The cheerleaders joined the performance, adding their unmistakable choreography to a song already familiar to much of the crowd.
It was the kind of guest appearance that made sense only in Dallas. Moroney leaned into the moment rather than allowing the cheerleaders to become a brief sideshow, creating a crossover between country music and one of the NFL’s most recognizable institutions.
The reaction continued after the show. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders shared photographs from the performance and their time with Moroney backstage, writing: “Head in the pink country clouds last night. Best day ever with our girl, @megmoroney!”
Moroney responded with an equally enthusiastic tribute alongside her own photos: “God bless the girls.”
Megan Moroney takes the Cowboys theme beyond the surprise
Bringing out the cheerleaders wasn’t the only nod Moroney made to Dallas.
The singer later appeared in a custom dress decorated with Cowboys-inspired rhinestones for her final song, “Six Months Later,” carrying the local theme through to the end of the concert. Footage from behind the scenes also showed her spending time with the cheerleaders away from the performance itself.
That attention to detail helped distinguish Dallas from the other stops on Moroney’s tour.
The appearance also arrived as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders prepared for their own return to NFL action. While the Dallas Cowboys opened their preseason away from home, the cheerleaders are scheduled to be back at AT&T Stadium when Dallas hosts the New Orleans Saints in its lone home preseason game on August 28.
The Cowboys then open their regular-season home schedule against the Washington Commanders on September 20.
Cloud 9 Tour prepares to leave the United States
Moroney’s Dallas spectacle came during the later stages of the American portion of her Cloud 9 Tour, which began in May following the release of her album Cloud 9.
The schedule takes her through several more U.S. cities before the production heads overseas in September. European dates include Oslo, Stockholm, Cologne, Tilburg and Paris, followed by shows in London and Manchester before the tour concludes in Belfast in October.
Those audiences will get the full Cloud 9 experience, but replicating what happened in Dallas could prove difficult.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' appearance gave “Am I Okay?” a hometown identity that belonged specifically to that crowd, while Moroney’s Cowboys-themed finale completed the transformation.
One of the biggest cheers of the evening ultimately came when two distinctly American entertainment worlds collided on the same Dallas stage.
