Trevon Diggs followed Mike Evans after a play and continued talking as the 49ers battled the Seahawks in a heated NFC West matchup.
Evans responded by turning Diggs around and inspecting the name on the back of his jersey.
He later explained that he genuinely did not recognize who was talking to him and needed to check.
The gesture prompted an angry shove from Diggs, but Evans laughed and walked away. He later finished with 113 receiving yards and a touchdown as San Francisco completed a 32-29 comeback victory.
