Sean McVay calls himself out after one Australia decision came back to haunt the Rams

Sean McVay admitted that one controversial travel decision may have put the Los Angeles Rams in a terrible position before their season opener in Australia.
While the San Francisco 49ers arrived in Melbourne a week early, the Rams landed only about a day before kickoff following a 17-hour flight. Los Angeles looked sluggish and suffered a brutal 27-7 loss after allowing 24 unanswered points.
After the Rams bounced back by crushing the New York Giants 28-6, McVay was asked why his team looked so different.
The coach did not make excuses, joking that sometimes a “dumbass coach” makes travel plans that put his team in a bad position. It was a blunt admission that the Australia strategy had backfired.
