The NFL takes over the city of Madrid
From today until Saturday, fans will be able to enjoy a unique experience to immerse themselves in American football

Madrid is already breathing American football. The NFL has taken over the center of the capital with two spaces that allow fans to experience up close everything surrounding the competition ahead of the eagerly awaited Falcons-Bengals next Sunday at the Santiago Bernabéu. Plaza de España and the Casa de las Alhajas have been transformed into two meeting points for fans , with different offerings but the same goal: bringing the NFL closer to the Spanish public.
The first stop is the NFL Experience Madrid, set up in Plaza de España. There, American football takes to the streets and becomes an activity for all audiences. Its main attraction is an NFL Flag Football field, a non-contact format that is growing rapidly and allows visitors to try out some of the fundamental skills of this sport.
The space features different interactive challenges. In the Quarterback Challenge , you can test the accuracy and power of your arm; the Field Goal Kick lets you see how difficult it is to score between the posts, and the Wide Receiver Challenge , presented by the Chicago Bears, invites you to demonstrate your reflexes and ability to catch the ball. A way to understand from the inside just how complicated it is to execute some of the actions that NFL stars take center stage with every Sunday.
The experience will also feature special guests . Among the expected legends are Charles "Peanut" Tillman, former All-Pro cornerback of the Chicago Bears; John Abraham, former All-Pro defensive end of the Atlanta Falcons; and Jim Anderson, longtime coach of the Cincinnati Bengals. They will be joined by the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and the mascots KC Lobazo, of the Chiefs, and TD, of the Miami Dolphins.
Live music, DJ sets, and the different photo areas complete an offering that also features a custom menina in the Bengals' colors as one of its most striking elements. All of this with free admission, subject to prior registration on NFL OnePass, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
NFL House: the history and future of the competition
The other major stop is at the Casa de las Alhajas, in Plaza de San Martín. There you will find NFL House Madrid Created with Adobe, a space that offers a different experience : less centered on practicing the sport and more focused on discovering its history, its culture, and the possibilities offered by technology.
One of the main attractions is the chance to see the Vince Lombardi Trophy up close , the prize lifted each season by the Super Bowl champion, along with the 60 rings that represent the different editions of the game. The exhibition is completed by a journey through the history of the competition and the 32 official franchise helmets, which also serve as a backdrop for taking a souvenir photo.
But NFL House is not just a museum. Fans can put themselves to the test in different American football challenges , take part in contests, and enjoy a video game area with three EA SPORTS Madden NFL stations. There is also room for creativity thanks to Adobe Firefly, which allows visitors to design personalized uniforms and helmets using generative artificial intelligence. The creative workshops also offer the chance to customize items and take them home.
The offering is rounded out by a Glam Studio, with tattoos and makeup, and a New Era product customization experience . In the entertainment section, highlights include performances by cheerleaders, mascots, DJs, and flamenco artists, as well as meet-and-greets with NFL legends and ambassadors. A live recording of the 100 Yardas podcast is also scheduled.
NFL House opens its doors from 12:00 to 20:00 on the 6th and 7th, with free access upon prior registration on NFL OnePass. The activities are spread across the ground floor and the first floor, while the second floor is reserved for guests and hospitality.
Two spaces, two ways of approaching American football, and one city fully embracing the NFL. Madrid is offering these days the chance to throw a pass, take a photo with the most coveted trophy in American sports, play Madden, or meet some of its legends. The Falcons-Bengals game at the Bernabéu will be the main event, but the NFL has managed to make the experience begin long before the ball takes flight.
