Micah Parsons calls Derrick Henry the greatest RB of our era after watching him defy time

The Packers star knows what King Henry feels like from the other side

Micah Parsons has spent his NFL career chasing quarterbacks and trying to destroy offensive game plans. But when the Green Bay Packers star was asked to evaluate Derrick Henry , he stopped sounding like a rival and spoke like someone witnessing history.

“King Henry,” Parsons said while placing the Baltimore Ravens running back at No. 15 in his player rankings. He then delivered a much stronger declaration: Henry is the greatest running back of this era.

The praise carries extra weight because Parsons has experienced Henry’s power from the other side. In 2024, when Parsons was still with the Dallas Cowboys, Henry ran through their defense for 151 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-25 Ravens victory.

Micah Parsons has seen enough from Derrick Henry

Henry is now in Year 11, an age when running backs are usually slowing down, losing opportunities or already out of the NFL . Instead, the 32-year-old opened the 2026 season with 144 rushing yards and three touchdowns in Baltimore’s 41-23 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

That performance moved Henry into third place on the NFL’s all-time list for rushing touchdowns. It also provided another reminder that the normal rules of aging do not seem to apply to a player who has spent more than a decade punishing defenders.

There are other spectacular candidates from this generation, including Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey. But Parsons appears to value something increasingly rare at the position: Henry has remained dominant through different teams, offensive systems and stages of his career.

Parsons did not need statistics alone to make his choice. He has watched Henry from across the line of scrimmage, seen him overwhelm defenders and now watched him continue doing it in Year 11. His verdict was simple: this era belongs to King Henry.
